Direction to Use
- Take patient history and do a complete oral examination
- Remove the decayed portion of the tooth
- Cavity preparation
- Mixing the filling:Materials required to mix amalgam include the amalgam capsule, amalgamator, and a device for removing the capsule from the amalgamator.
- Load the capsule:Â Insert the capsule into the amalgamator and secure it into place.Turn on the amalgamator and set it to the appropriate time and speed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- After the mixing process is complete, turn off the amalgamator and remove the capsule from the device.
- Load the mixed amalgam into a suitable carrier or syringe for placement in the tooth.
- Shaping and polishing.
